This was in my Facebook feed yesterday – an advert for the 2022 Lookfantastic advent calendar.
Themed advent calendars have becoming ‘a thing’ in recent years and there is always a drive to sell as many as possible as soon as possible, telling people ‘don’t miss out!’ This seems incongruous considering so many brands are trying to be more environmentally aware and discouraging overconsumption.
I do buy advent calendars if I know I will use most of the products. But I generally buy them after they have been discounted just before or just after Christmas. Thinking of Christmas in September turns my stomach. Doesn’t time rush by fast enough already?
