As much as I love my job, I was not looking forward to this past week. I had a heavy teaching schedule with very few breaks. I could have taken on less teaching, but I wanted this challenge. And I did it!
As motivation, I used highlighter to cross each lesson off after I had completed it. A different colour each day. These are my sparkly Zebra highlighters, which I really enjoy using.
Very clever – The day’s appointments are crossed off, but by using a highlighter, you can still read them.
As much as I love looking at pretty planners, it just doesn’t work for me. I have given up on trying to keep my planner “nice” and I just use it.
I compromise in the middle. My pages are utilitarian, but I do use a few icon stickers to alert me to things I was missing – recycling day, birthdays, work expenses that need to be billed. My dividers are printed with pretty photographs. My page finders are clear with a label.
