Beautiful old factory buildings in Stockholm

The area of Stockholm where I live was full of factories hundreds of years ago. Most of them have been demolished, but there are some that have been lovingly restored and are in use as conference centres, furniture stores, office buildings, and apartments.

Here is Münchenbryggeriet, which is now a conference centre

This is Alfred Nobel’s dynamite factory, which is now an art gallery and meeting centre. The manufacturing of nitroglycerine started here in 1865.

This paint factory is now an art space

This diesel workshops now holds a gym, movie theatres and café

This former industrial space is now used for offices. I always smile at the art they have on some of the walls.

Neumüllers Brewery now houses a furniture showroom and office and conference space. It first became a brewery in the 1600s.
