The café ‘Sweet Little Rain’ in Shanghai makes coffee with a candy floss (cotton candy in the US) cloud suspended over it that ‘rains’ sugar into your cup.
It’s an interesting concept – and Instagram-friendly – but I imagine it would be rather sticky and messy. The ‘cloud’ seems wider than the cup, and you could probably not control how much sugar ended up in your coffee. It also seems rather pricey – $9. Instagram-wise, you would probably go there once and artfully photograph the cloud so it appears to be hovering independently over your coffee, and then never go back – unless the coffee is absolutely delicious.
I guess that anything is better than latte in a carrot…
