I think Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith are the most brilliant actresses, and I like that they are not facelifted and blown up by fillers so that they are unrecognisable and cannot show emotion. I like even more that they were born weeks apart and have been best friends for over 60 years. They even dress alike!
Maggie Smith was born on the 28th December 1934 and Judi Dench was born on the 9th December 1934. They acted together in Room with a View, Ladies in Lavender and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
I love these two together! I make my fiancé watch As Time Goes By whenever I catch it on. I want to be Dame Judy in my 60’s. At one time I could tell you how the scenes played in Room With A View. I did read last year they were both The Queen’s guests at Windsor Castle and attended a flower show together. Can you just imagine the after dinner conversation?
