The glorious Irish crochet lace of Asia Verten

Russian crochet artist Asia Verten has taken the art of Irish crochet to another level. This wonderfully organic looking dress incorporates about a dozen different colors of crochet cottons worked as netting, flowers, leaves, and swirling tendrils that are worked both in relief and in volume. It is a remarkable work of human artistry. That is made even more profound because the entire garment is worked as one piece. There are no sleeve joins or side seaming. Because of the depth of the open back, the dress can be put on without the need to open a zipper or other closure to get into it. (source)
