Red Boxed Leathersmith five-year diary

This one was an Etsy find – my third Leathersmith five-year diary. It had never even been opened. The smell of the leather is still very very strong with this one. Many of the old ones smell more like storage in granny’s cupboards if you know what I mean. I would say it is from the 1980s.

The colour is rich deep red (a perfect lipstick shade) and the gilt edges look like a mirror. I am so pleased with this one as it is beautifully made and was very cheap (five-year diaries usually are as no one wants them anymore, except me of course!)

This is my other red Leathersmith five-year diary which cost about £5. It is also leather and beautiful but has no gilt on the edges.
