Weird

If you put your finger on the join between the two colours, it seems to change to the same colour.

I read somewhere why this happens but I can’t remember the reason. I still think it is so cool though!

  1. Each square is slightly bent back so the light hits/reflects differently. Cover the line, they look the same. Cool!

  2. It’s logical! Once the finger hides the darkest and lighter shades then the colour is the same. Both squares are exactly the same colour apart from the middle.

  3. Well the digital colour meter on my Mac says that both squares are exactly the same colour! RGB values of 156 156 156 !

  4. It definitely does. Pretty cool. My guess is that once the line is obscured, your eyes automatically blend the colours into one. Just a guess. Fun.
