Another example of how language can be international but not always multicultural.
The same word can mean different things in different languages. The same word can even mean different things in the same language – depending on your age and where you live.
Coca-Cola decided this year to accept suggestions for names in each country which people would like on their Coke bottles. Some of the ones appearing in Sweden would not translate so well in other countries – Titti was one, as was Jerker. But the one I am going to feature now is rather special in that depending on which country you are in, it could mean different things.
