When I worked a lot in the UK, I used to stock up on Umberto Giannini products. The Curl Jelly was one of my favourite products. I forms a ‘cast’ (crunchy layer) on the hair, which you then break by scrunching your hair when it is dry. This gives amazing defined curls.
Sweden has recently started selling this brand, and I hope it’s a success because they are low-cost and I love the curl range. I bought a mini set to see if the formulation is the same.
The packaging has been redesigned. The old packagin was not only phallic, but reflected your naked body in hideous proportions in the shower…
It was a trend in 1998 to design packaging that had that “lipstick” shape (what you call “phallic”). We’ve come back to a more conventional shape of packaging.
