A day

My sister shared some photographs of her camping trip to Vic Bay (Victoria Bay, Garden Route, South Africa). She takes amazing photographs, and they always make me feel both happy and homesick.

I loved this handbag on the underground. The owner was happy to let me take a photograph, which I much appreciate. I do love a good handbag.

It’s not often you see mixed metals that work as well as this one does. The necklace is made in sterling silver and gold-plated sterling silver, and looks to be inspired by Chanel’s Crush series. It was 50% off so perhaps from an outgoing range?

I loved this garden statue

I saw a poster for this bag made of hotel sheets. I am not sure what the marketing angle of this is. Sheets are sheets, surely?

  1. The sheet bag looks to be a recycling thing; ‘remade’ being the relevant description. Like bags made from old rice sacks/truck sidewall/inner tubes, etc.

    1. I think I expressed that rather badly. I understand the allure of bags made out of flour sacks, seat belts, tarpaulins, rice sacks etc. But wouldn’t a bag made out of plain white hotel sheets be rather boring? And probably not very strong for heavy carrying if they were well worn?

  2. The pictures of Vic Bay are stunning! I’m not surprised you miss it!…

I’m also happy to see that I’m not the only one who loves to dangle all sorts of plushy key rings!…
