White Labelling is where companies (often Chinese) mass-produce basic product (makeup, pens, bags) and ship it straight off the factory floor to the purchaser who then adds their own brand labels. Supermarkets’ own brands can also be an example of white labelling.
Some celebrities, reality stars, and influencers profit from their fame by diversifying into another area using white labelling. The products are generally not great quality or are the same as another brand, just with different logos. There are exceptions – Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga have developed incredible beauty lines that are independently successful.
