Eye-bombing

I read once about someone whose roommate kept stealing his food from the refrigerator. Nothing he tried stopped the thefts, until he put eyes on all his food items. Roommate complained about the food looking threatening, but no longer stole anything.

A client of mine once put eyes on almost everything in her boyfriend’s house while he was away. Apparently things really did look sentient. They both had the same sense of humour so they used to have great fun with surprises. He filled her living room – floor to ceiling – with balloons once. Things like this could go very wrong if they unintentionally cross a line, or if only one person finds them funny. But they genuinely did have great fun.
