In April I published a list of new descriptive niche words that I enjoyed, such as manglement (management), wasband (ex-husband). They are not official words but I think they are so clever.

I have just discovered that an autopsy on an animal is called a necropsy . The word autopsy for animal post-mortem examination is being used more often in recent years because pet-owners are more likely to allow a postmortem examination when the word autopsy is used instead of necropsy. Perhaps because the word autopsy is more familiar and humanising.
