I have been so happy in my grey Kipling Gabbie bag that I took Eva’s tip about an Amazon sale and bought a black one too. It has a grey lining which was quite startling at first, but it makes it much easier to find things against the lighter background.
Over the summer I have sold 6 more heavy leather bags, including my Mulberry Bayswater and Romilly. I have switched over to lighter bags such as my Uniqlo banana bag, my Kipling bag, and my Longchamp Le Pliage. I have some leather ones left, including my gorgeous Van Der Spek tote and smaller leather handbags. But I cannot see myself going back to heavy bags.
The ad for this bag had the fluffy monkey, but I was glad to see that it came with a rubber one. As always, my pink tassel gives my bag a personal touch. I love this tassel and have been using it for 4 years now. I don’t know what I will do when it finally gives up the ghost.
I’m sorry to be so late to comment! This bag is absolutely lovely! I am now following your philosophy for a lighter bag. Leather bags are gorgeous but impractical. That pink tassel works so well with this bag (and all the bags you had it on!). I’m so glad you like it!
