Church’s Burwood Brogues

I have been wearing these quite a lot. They fit me perfectly, are so comfortable, and look really nice on. The craftsmanship is amazing. If you look at the front of the brown laces, you will see a perfect cream stitch. That is something a cheaper brand would probably economise on. The stitching around the soles is absolutely perfect.

These were only $8 but were a demo pair so they had some shelf wear and some scuffs from people trying them on. I am thrilled even so because they are REALLy spendy brand new. I would never have been able to afford a new pair without eating noodles for several months.

  1. They look amazing! I’m sure they must be very comfortable too. I’m always amazed at how easily you find such excellent bargains! I tried where I am but there are no charity shops and second hand shops are beyond expensive. Good for you!

    1. They were so comfortable from the very first moment. I guess this is what rich people’s feet feel like all the time!

I am quite lucky in that I have three nice charity shops on my walk home, so I can pop in every couple of days or so. I think the only way to find real bargains is to visit regularly. I don’t know which day they receive new items, but that would also increase the likelihood of finding treasure. And of course, brand knowledge is good, to recognise both fakes and also more unknown luxury brands.
