This was taken at almost 10pm. The sun is still shining. I normally go to bed between at about 10.30pm so the only way I can sleep is with Venetian blinds, a blackout blind and blackout curtains. I need all three to keep out the light.

I still can’t get over this… I have a Swedish friend with three cats and she walks them on a leash either early in the morning (like 4 or 5) or late at night (around 11!) and every time, the sun is shining bright!… I also need plenty of darkness to sleep. We have blinds and I also sleep with a bonnet and I pull it over my eyes and it helps a lot, strangely enough!
Here it is night-time at 10.15 pm at the moment. It is late for me as it is the time I usually go to bed. And the sun starts shining at 5.40 am which means that I technically don’t see a dark sky between mid June until the third week of August. I find it weird and quite disturbing.
That must be one of the reasons why I dislike summer, not to mention the temperatures that never go below 25°C at night (it’s between 28 and 34 during daytime at the moment).
