A deserted Stockholm Old Town

The weather was miserable again last Friday. Snow, about 0°C/32°F and grey. This was the Stockholm Old Town (Gamla Stan) at about 1.30pm. For a moment you could imagine yourself back in the 1500s.

  1. What a beautiful area! The cobbled stones are the same as the ones in my town! How nice to see it so empty!

      1. It is! This is what I love about Europe: you have monuments, streets, architecture that date back hundreds of years. These need to be protected. The small town I live in is at least 1000 years old and a few streets are still the same and they are carefully maintained this way.
