I love the way she photographs animals, but I especially love her photographs of old dogs with their younger selves. Older dogs are my favourites, even more so than puppies. I never understand those who abandon older animals. For me, those animals were devoted to their family. How awful must it feel for the majority of those abandoned animals who spend their final days of life in a shelter. My experience working with shelters is that there are many lovely people who only adopt older animals.
So many of those look incredibly mournful, and then there are some with joy and spark still obvious. Great project. Thanks
I have to say I’m way more of a cat person than a dog person but these pictures are beyond beautiful and left me all emotional…
There isn’t one of those dogs which hasn’t aged well. Why don’t people understand that a dog is for life and love is given unconditionally by every dog, even towards those who don’t deserve it.
