Large crochet scrunchie

There was a Christmas market near where we live yesterday. It was very icy and snowy (see above) so I wanted to support the craftworkers and families selling. There was hardly anyone there.

I did find an interesting brown, yellow and black crocheted scrunchie. I have never ever seen one before. The seller had two small ones and this big frilly one, which I had to have. It is so soft and comfortable. I tie my hair up in the evenings and this feels so nice when my head is against a sofa cushion.

It’s ages since I crocheted anything but this looks like something I could attempt.

I am in my pjs ready for bed and it was the day before hair-wash day but you can get the idea of how it looks from these pics. I love it!

  2. What a lovely scrunchie! I now have to find a pattern for it!… I never thought you could make a crochet scrunchie! It looks gorgeous on you!

    1. I really like it! I have never seen one before and am now imagining a really big frilly one in black. Or grey with a thin red trim. You could go as big as you want! Do you crochet?

      1. I do! I have moments when I crochet more than others. I don’t do anything too complicated, just hats, scarves, covers and some fluffy toys too. I made some woolly jumpers for a couple of fluffy sharks (Ikea’s Blahaj!) but I’ve never tried any jumpers for myself or any other humans… I need to find some patterns for these scrunchies!
