2024 inserts are in!

I have now put my 2024 Burde week-on-two page inserts in my Van Der Spek Junior planner. The 25mm rings mean that I can hold an entire year. I have kept in November and December 2023.

The undyed leather is now a toasty caramel colour. There are some marks coming but they blend nicely into the overall colour

My trusty Burde week-on-two page inserts. I have been using this insert in various sizes for many many years. I go through the year using washi tape to mark all public holidays. My students using electronic calendars often do not realise when the public holidays are and end up wanting to book them with me because they see an empty day in their calendar.

I do the same with birthdays and anniversaries, this time putting tape at the bottom of the calendar. I have about ten different designs of washi tape but this one has always been my favourite because it is minimal and has bees!

  1. I love your Burde inserts. I was finally able to find a personal size vertical week on 2 pages insert on Etsy. Personal size vertical week on 2 pages inserts by Burde or Filofax are not available in the U.S.

  2. I love the washi tape. I’m in between ring binder and Hobonichi (A6). I absolutely love the monthly calendar in the Hobonichi A6 and, because I’m not really busy, I can make due with this. For work, I use an A5 Filofax where I write down everything I’m doing at work. Sometimes, I photocopy the A6 monthly calendar to have it in my Filofax but I tend to carry around my Hobonichi A6 whenever I don’t have class… I don’t think I can ever manage to find one system that works for everything I need… I’m glad you got yourself sorted out and that binder is absolutely gorgeous!

  3. There’s something so satisfying about marking up a brand new year’s calendar. Love getting out markers, pens, washi, stickers just to walk fearlessly into the coming year.

Personal family events in purple, paydays in green, appointments in orange, mani/ pedis/ haircuts in pink…. Then comes homemade artwork printed on label paper to brighten empty corners of my book, and maybe a few quotes to help define the goal for the year. Such a creative good time.
