Good Squish

I have long, thick curly hair, and often tie my hair in a bun using a scrunchie. It is cool in hot weather, easy to do in the morning, and professional for work. They are also comfortable to wear while sleeping and leaning against pillows.

As you can see below, small scrunchies get lost in my hair.

Bigger ones are way better.

For a long time I have coveted a Queen (large) Good Squish scrunchie. They are more a statement than a hair band and I would love to try one. Aren’t they gorgeous?

Good Squish come in four different sizes – large, medium, small, extra small. But I would really like to try a large (Queen) one.

The only thing stopping me is the price. Good Squish are handmade and sustainably produced. There are gorgeous vintage fabrics. The dead-stock drops make sure that all the scraps are put back into use. So the price is justified. Right now though, there is no way I can drop that much on a hair accessory when I have about 7 scrunchies that I love and wear all the time. But one day!

If I did buy one, I would buy this one in black silk

Or this one in white broderie anglaise

Despite my wishes to rock it, the Queen is probably too big for me, despite my desire to try the largest size. So if I ever buy one, I may may may be sensible and go down one size to the Blumberg, which is also rather large.

  1. They look glorious but OMG! The price is eye watering… At the moment, I’m all about hair pins and hair forks. My hair is super straight, thin and fine and yet, it works and the pins stay all day. I have some really funky ones that I ordered on Etsy. I also love wearing scrunchies too. I like silky ones very much because they are kind to hair.

    1. I would so love to try one but they are way out of my budget. I know they are handmade and their ones made of vintage fabric are gorgeous. But alas…

      1. It’s a shame really… I can completely understand that they would be a bit pricey because they are handmade but wow!…
