I found this really really interesting.
I am from a country with no snow (apart from maybe on mountains and small dustings every few years), and moved to a country that is snowy for 8 months of the year. Describing snow to my family has been really hard because snow can be wet, dry, soft, hard, small flakes or big clumps. The only thing that stands out to me over 25 years here is that it is quiet, totally quiet. It also makes everything else quiet. Not having experienced snow, you always have the idea that it would be loud, like rain. But it is totally quiet. It can be heavy and cause great destruction, but it is silent.
Wow!
