One of my cats was a rescued kitten of 4 weeks when we got her and we never taught her to use the litter. She had no example but she seemed to know by instinct how to bury her poops in the garden or the litter. I didn’t even know we had to teach them.

Does it work though? My cats all learned from their moms how to bury their poop, or at least that’s what it seemed like.
If you foster orphans you have to teach them, though it’s normally a case of putting them on the sand once
