I found this pictorial history of lifelong friendship so heartwarming. The first photo of Martin Dowle and Keith Laughton was taken in 1972 when they were 10, the last one in 2022 at the age of 60. Martin and Keith have had their ups and downs in life, but their friendship has been the one constant.

I had one friend through school. We were inseparable.
We lost touch after we left school as we both moved around a lot and in those days if you did not have an address to write to, you were out of luck. It was also more difficult to track down school friends if they had married because they usually changed their surnames. Nowadays with social media and email it is much easier.
We found each other on Facebook a number of years ago and now meet up regularly!
