The Yerdelen brothers from Istanbul had plans to build more than 700 mini castles in Burj Al Babas, a $200 million housing development, near Mudurnu in northern Turkey.
Of 732 planned buildings, 587 were completed. Everything was going well, and half the castles had been sold, until a perfect storm of troubles caused the plan to grind to a halt. Now all the castles sit there, looking like an eerie deserted Disney land.
