I have been looking for a high-colour garnet for a long time. So many garnets are very very dark and so do not sparkle or even glow.

Very unique and with a good sized garnet. The way the gemstone has been faceted is amazing. It’s a; large, raised, faceted, oval shaped, domed garnet and it looks regal and majestic. The reds are beautiful in this gemstone as it captures the light.

This ring is c1970 and an exceptionally pretty piece.
Garnet is a January birth stone and said to be lucky in business.
Garnet size; 11.50 by 7.40mm approximately.
The ring has no hallmarks and so has been tested and is 9ct.

    1. They are so underrated, right? I think so many of them are very dark so they don’t give off much colour. But there are others that look like dark rubies and have that gorgeous fire in them. I am really loving garnets right now!
