I have never seen a squirrel with albinism before

A squirrel with albinism!

It’s quite sad that people with albinism in Africa are often persecuted. Many are murdered because common superstition states that body parts from someone with albinism have magical powers. And when it comes to animals, trophy hunters prize albino animals because they are so rare. Local game reserves near where I live never publicise their animals with albinism, because when they do, they are often killed shortly afterwards by poachers or hunters.

  1. It’s a very primitive behaviour to kill anything that is different either because it can represent a potential danger or because it is so uncommon that it has a value.
Ignorant people will live long after me but the more I learn about some of them the less I want to know about them.

That squirrel is absolutely cute and deserves the best -as does any animal!
