I heard of that happening in my grandparents’ generation (about 100 years ago). Never knew it occurred as recently as thirty years ago until I met a woman from Germany who told me she fully believed left-handedness caused all sorts of mental/emotional problems in kids and that she was drumming it out of her boys. I thought she was mentally ill, so I didn’t really respond to her. I also think people who think LGBTQ people are going to hell are mentally ill as well, but I’m a little more vocal about telling them so;)!
