Look at this gorgeous Janet Leather Van Der Spek Senior binder – the patina is just divine! This leather is unbelievably soft to the touch and ages beautifully (if you like patina). This beauty belongs to Hannah Jiang, who generously allowed me to feature it for my readers today. All the photographs belong to her. Thank you Hannah!

What is even more exciting about this cover is that it is actually a ring binder but has had the rings removed and elastics added, making it into a traveler’s notebook.

The nice thing about Gillio and Van Der Spek organisers is that the rings are designed to be removable. You just remove them from the backplate. So you can change your ring organiser to a traveler’s notebook and then change it back again whenever you want. See more down below.

Steve Morton of Philofaxy has written a nice article about this over at Traveler’s Notebook Times, where he explains how to do it (and includes a video).
