Van Der Spek Janet Leather pen case – after 2 years

Left to right: pink ostrich, purple, Touch Me, Janet Leather and undyed. You can see that the undyed is marked and scuffed because it has been part of the undyed leather project and looks like this after 11 months of solid use. The purple looks wrinkled but it is not – the camera picked up the surface lines and threw light on them, making them looked creased.

I always have one of these VDS pen cases with me in my bag. They hold two pens and I have the same model in several different leathers.

The other day I had my Janet Leather one (from 2014) with me and a client of mine noticed it on the table and told me how beautiful it was. She had a closer look and said that it reminded her of Mulberry leather (we both have Mulberry handbags so have compared leathers before). She is now going to buy one!

It really does look nice. This is rather smooth JL and has some marks now but the patina has blended everything beautifully into a kind of glow.

This lives at the bottom of my handbag which is a scary place. It jumbles around with my keys, wet umbrellas, sharp corners, hairbrush – you name it!
