About teachers

Funny how we all remember the good teachers. And the bad teachers. And the teachers that changed our lives. I firmly believe that teaching is a calling. You were either born to it or you weren’t. Just knowing a topic well does not make you a teacher. And no one who has never done it will ever know how exhausting it is and how it can consume you.

  1. Thank you for the quotes. I will share them with my daughter who is a first year teacher in a 3rd grade elementary school. Although she is so exhausted at the end of the day, she lights up when she talks about her day with her students.

  2. Yes I was taught be a few teachers who despite being experts in their field had no clue on how to teach the subject. You often have to describe things in terms that people do understand to get a point across and to help them learn something new.
