Sumptuous baroque hand made leather journal. An exquisitely rich detailed embossed book for your thoughts…. hand tinted leather creating an unique color gradient. The center of the front cover presents alligator textured leather within patina brass chains… Book edges are carved and gilded with specialist bookmakers antique finish. One of the comments from social networks: “It feels like Game of Thrones meets Baroque opulence…”

Journal size is 11 x 8 inches; thickness around 2.3 inches; 400 leaves (800 pages) and I was lucky to get it at 30% discount. Can’t wait for it to come!

Find Alex and his shop AlexLibris on Etsy. He is a wonderful person to deal with – answers questions almost immediately, does not pressure you to buy and is very willing to do custom orders. He also updates you all the time on the shipping progress of your item – it is the first time a buyer has ever done that for me. His books are not cheap but the workmanship is extraordinary and bookbinding by hand is extremely time-intensive. I went on a course many years ago and after that decided to be a collector rather than a producer. My fingers have thanked me ever since. Every now and then I try to create a few signatures with a knife as a bone folder and a needle and thread and give up almost immediately.
