This is another one of my favourites. It is a Zara tote which, ironically, has been copied by all the high end designers, and market stall fakes abound. In all my years of handbag adoration I have never seen a budget chainstore bag copied by the expensive designers. They were always sold out in my local Zara so I bought from Zara online – the experiences was one of my best online shopping experiences ever. The speed with which it arrived from Spain via courier, the cheap shipping (£4), the wonderful tissue paper, dustbag and gorgeous box – all in all I loved every minute! The bag cost about £100 I think but it is worth at least twice that in terms of quality and resale value.
Description:
Plain leather tote (mine is in brown) with short handles with plait effect and a detachable shoulder strap. It is made of buffalo leather and unlined but has a detachable pouch with inner pockets and zips. This clips onto little studs inside the bag and is a good idea but I find it a bit fiddly so have removed it. The colour is lovely and the leather is very very nice.
Pros
A very attractive bag. Big, hardwearing, understated, simple.
Cons:
Very big and can be heavy

Here is a nice one on eBay. It is in the UK so no customs and lower postal charges. The seller has 100% positive feedback too, and it is a Buy It now at a good price! Hi Janet, I am curious to know how you store your handbags?
I used to store them upright stuffed with non-coloured tissue paper and in their dustbags but I decided I liked looking at and using them so I have them displayed on top of my wardrope and in a huge bureau with no tissue and no dustbags.

They usually have these items in different colours long term but if they do not, try other high street chains. Russell and Bromley used to have a very nice version of them too. And of course eBay is another good bet. Good luck!
