Cath Kidston Bag

I have loved Cath Kidston ever since Easy Living magazine gave away three A5 sized makeup bags as freebies – one spotty and two floral. They were lovely for travelling with documents and travelling with toiletries because they were transparent plastic with the designs painted on. You could see what was in them and they were as tough as old boots. They are still going after about ten years!

Coming back to Sweden via Heathrow Terminal 3 I spotted a Cath Kidston pop-up shop in duty free. They had a spectacular sale which was even more spectacular when the tax was deducted. I got the bag below for £20.

Because of my job I often have many papers, a laptop, lunch, water, a sweater and shopping to carry. It is easier for my back if I carry two bags – a handbag for my permanent things and a shopper for my day to day things. Any handbag or shopper I carry needs to be big, light, waterproof, durable, and able to be carried over the shoulder and in arm and hand. This one is perfect – big but light, made from oil cloth with typical Kidston flowers on the outside and red with white spots on the inside. There are two pockets on the inside (one with a zip). I love it!

They had so many gorgeous bags deeply discounted that I could not choose between spots or florals so in the end I chose a floral with spots inside!
