Question for my readers about recipes

My mother was a fantastic cook. I never learned to cook but I asked her write all her recipes down just before she died. As time went along I collected recipes for dishes I liked. My old battered recipe book is about 30 years old now and tattered, battered and splattered from much use by family and friends.

If anyone here loves trying new recipes and would be interested, I could put one a day up here for others to try. Pop a line in the comments or click like and if interest is there I will go for it!

Edited to add: two comments already (thanks guys!). If I get another two in favour I will start posting recipes by Monday, promise!

  1. I am in! I love to cook but am always in search of the best of a traditional. One that is no fail too. Also recipes completely unique. I have a few great ones. Living in the states now, well being away from SA for the last 18 years, I have met a few “Southies” who are always scratching in my closest for a few recipes. I am currently trying to help a friend in search of a watermelon and ginger jam recipe and also a ginger beer recipe that has pineapple skins in it. I have searched the net but came up empty handed.

In any case, I love the idea! Great blog Janet!

  2. I tried the “like” button – it did not work. I am very interested in a recipe swop. I have tons of SA recipes that i collected from my parents days way back then.
