WordPress started sneaking more and more ads into my blog. In the beginning I had no objection because they offer a great service which has to be funded somehow. But then the ads became more and more intrusive and inappropriate. Many of them were for weight-loss aids to which I have a personal objection. They sell false hope and they can be downright harmful and most of them make illegal claims.
So about a month ago I paid 30 dollars for the No Ads Upgrade on WordPress to keep them away.
