This is one of my favourites. It is strong, sturdy, tough and durable with large 30mm rings and a nicely designed card pocket/zip constellation. One of my gripes with Filofax as a company is that their zippers are so boring and look cheap. They could liven things up with an f or a filofax logo on the zipper-pull or something to jazz it up a bit. I tend to hang little charms on mine just to liven them up.
This is one of the better quality lower priced Filofaxes and a good entry point into leather binders. I wish it was full leather because the fabric inner tends to show wear near the rings and spine edges after a while. But I guess for the price you can’t have everything.
The Finsbury comes in gorgeous seasonal colours – two of my favourites were the purple and the teal. Even though they are no longer available they do pop up regularly and reasonably priced on eBay.
It almost lays flat and should do after a bit of training. My Filos tend to stay closed for most of the day so they don’t lay as flat as they would do if they were open on a desk all day.

I always used to mix up the Finchley and the Finsbury too. I assume it was because they’re both leather and both start with the letter F.
Correction I believe this is a Finsbury not a Finchley.
