My long-suffering motorbike boots recently gave out on me, after years and years of service. It is really difficult to buy new ones when old ones have served so well for so long. I am not really fond of buying shoes either. Motorcycle shops usually just have one small shelf for women and the stock is usually two pairs of one or two sizes. Buying online is difficult because the sizes are all over the place. I am a size 37(EU)/4(UK)/6(US) but in biking boots I can be anything up to a 38.5.
I used to use Frye 12-R Harness boots, but they are pretty heavy and you have to ‘wear them in’ which can be agonising. I used to hate putting these on because of the long shaft. There is no elastic closure or zip.
I then used shorter Frye Engineer Gaucho 8-R in brown but I did not like the colour (second from left below) as my riding leathers are black

I could not decide this time between touring boots (light, very good on toe, shin and ankle protection)

Or cruising/MC boots, which are more traditional

In the end I chose the Primeboot Gearshifters above, because I am used to this style and they were soooo comfortable. You can open them wide using the Velcro flap so that your foot just pops in. These were reduced from $300 to $70 and they had my size, which was actually true to my shoe size. I greased and waterproofed them as soon as we got home.

I also loved these Forma Diamond Donna boots, but my size was out of stock.

I forgot to comment when your post came out but I have to say that I really love your new boots! And what a great deal you got for them!
Thank you! They are so comfortable.
This is so important!
