Mother-Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon

This is one of those books that I stumble upon, either in our apartments recycling shelf or at a thrift store. It had never been read, is fairly new (2023), and a first novel by the author. It had been featured on Reese Witherspoon’s book club, so includes questions about the book at the back.

I battled to get into it at first but once I got going I could not put it down. While it is a criminal thriller, a huge aspect of the book for me was the changing relationship between the grandmother, mother, and daughter investigating the crime. I love love loved it.
