Why?

I went into a thrift store today to look at the books. Not only were all different languages mixed, but they were not sorted alphabetically. They were sorted by colour. I gave up after a few minutes.

  1. A local Goodwill thrift shop had the women’s tops arranged by color (not size), also impossible for browsing! I assumed it was because the workers were unable to read

  2. I have seen this before in many influencers videos… It’s such a turn off…

  3. Aah, that’s pure horror! I have my books sorted by colour. But in my defence, I have sold or will sell most of my books, only keeping around 30-40 of my biggest favourites. When I used to have a hundred or more books, they were sorted alphabetically by author, and then by year for each author.
Seeing books sorted by colour in a store, I’m not sure I would even start looking/searching…

    1. I tried but it was so frustrating. There were German, French, Italian and Finnish books mixed with the Swedish ones, plus the authors were out of order. I gave up almost immediately!

  4. That seems kind of dumb. You’d never be anble to find what you want. Our thrift shop has sorted them according to subject.
