I saw this plant pot at a local thrift store and it reminded me so much of Catrick. Those puffy cheeks and the judgy expression!

This local shop, Orkan Lia, creates clothing exactly to your measurements. I was tickled by the small versions beside the life-sized mannequins. My mother was incredible at sewing. She made clothes for all my dolls, and when she made a dress for herself, she made a matching one for me. It was common in the 1960s I think, but I used to hate it. Nowadays I look back at it fondly.

The main square of Gamla Stan is normally packed with tourists, but today it was almost completely empty, which was nice for me because it sometimes takes me a while to negotiate the crowds on my way between meetings.
Soon the Christmas market will go up and you will barely be able to move.
The rather ugly concrete blocks placed at awkward angles are deterrents to terrorist attacks using vehicles. The Royal Palace and the Swedish Parliament are in the same area so this is somewhat of a high security area. At some point during recent years there were several vehicles driven through crowds and Christmas markets. Stockholm had its own ‘vehicle driven through crowd hits building’ terror attack in 2017, a short distance down the road.
The building to the right houses the Swedish Academy, which awards the Nobel Prize for Literature. It also holds the Nobel Library and the Nobel Prize Museum.
I took this photograph about a month ago from a room in which I teach. These trees are all completely bare.

I hate the world we live in today, the threat of terrorist attacks (it must be much worse in Gaza where schools, hospitals, and residential buildings are targeted everyday by a nation which is hell bent on wiping out (genocide regardless of what our politicians tell us) the entire Palestinian nation.
Your main square looks like our main square! There are also security measures in place to prevent attacks. We are lucky to not have had any but there had been attacks in other Christmas markets. To be honest, the constant threat of attacks has ruined Christmas markets for me… As usual, I loved this post!
