Below is my Van Der Spek tote, after using it frequently for a year. I try to use lightweight bags as often as I can but on days when I carry my laptop with me, I use this one. It is not too heavy, despite being big and made of thick leather. I love my bag charms. My bags do not feel personal if I don’t use one.
The pink tassel is my favourite. I like pink and it is great quality. I bought it when covid was at its height. All the shops at the airport were closed and the company rented a huge space and sold out everything from those shops at 70% discount. This tassel was one of the items on that sale.

My cousin Mandy in South Africa has grown the most beautiful King Protea, South Africa’s national flower. This is my favourite flower. It is not traditionally pretty in the way flowers normally are but it is a testament to flourishing in hard conditions. They dry very nicely after their fresh days are over.
I really love your “A Day” posts! The flower is gorgeous! I love how whenever I go a bit far from my backyard (aka Germany), I discover new-to-me flowers. And that pink tassel charm of yours is gorgeous and goes with all the bags you’ve put them on. I think the colour pink might be the new black because it works with a wide range of colours. I think I have found a charm that I like: it’s a leather bat that has a coin in its belly to use with the trolleys.
Aw, glad you like the ‘daily wanderings’ posts. I have thought that they may be boring and egocentric but some things are so pretty. I really love that tassel. I like big but it is so well made and nice to fiddle with. I do have another one by Coach that is more stylish and elegant but I prefer this one. I am enjoying the new charm too – I found it at a flea market and loved the colours. Your bat sounds wonderful. Would love to see it!
