I am great at words. Give me a translation, a regular crossword, a grammar exercise, or a scrabble game and I thrive. But cryptic crosswords, any puzzle with numbers, Sudoku and logical reasoning tests make my mind spin.
I wonder if practising them would make me better at it? I noticed that when I did Sudoku regularly, I did improve, though I do not enjoy numbers at all. Maybe regular practice would make my brain more nimble?
And as for things like this…I am hopeless.

I totally get the struggle of being great at words but feeling completely stumped by logic puzzles, though I definitely noticed my brain sharpening up once I started practicing Sudoku daily. Do you have a specific type of puzzle you are going to start with to help keep your brain nimble?
I have heard Sudoku works wonders for memory and mental agility. I have only done a couple, helped by a friend. But I am sure that it would help me a great deal so I have been thinking about starting on simple ones.
I am the same!… I think that the test with the geometric shapes is part of a test to measure your IQ… And the labyrinth one would be beyond me… (do you have the answer for the geometric shapes? I want to go with D)
I know just what you mean. Sudoku makes my brain ache!
