We have been married a year already – time really has flown. It’s been an overwhelming year for almost everyone, so it is not surprising that it seems our wedding was years ago. My daughter was due to be married on 15 August but had to cancel due to COVID-19, so Jan-Olof and I were glad we did it last year rather than this year.
We decided to go away for the night to the hotel where we had our wedding dinner last year. The weather was pretty good and, to be honest, it was nice to get away for a mini-break, even in our own city. We left our electronic devices and to-do lists behind, and just enjoyed the moment.
Hotel J is a boutique hotel in Nacka in Stockholm. It is very ‘New England’ in style with light wood, blue and white furnishings and a beachy vibe.
Here is reception and the lounge where – 24/7 – you can take whatever you like to eat and drink from the kitchen and put it on a list. Coffee and tea is free.

After that we caught the boat home. Luckily our public transport tickets cover boats, buses, commuter trains, trams, and the metro!
