I am still doing most of my work on-site. Because I work in the government and Parliament, there is a lot of work with other countries also battling this pandemic. Local information also needs to be in several languages.
I have some distance work via Facetime, Skype and Zoom as well, but the internet is not coping with so many people working and studying from home so we have had several problems this week.
My heart goes out to all small business owners who are struggling so badly in these times. I hope that they receive help to stay afloat from the government.
I hope they get help too. Here in the UK the government is promising help to companies, workers and everyone else. Well, UK governments are good at promising, we’ll see, if they are as good as their promise this time. Hmmm, I must be getting cynical in my old age.moh that’s another thing 70 + people are being patronised for “our own good”, and are supposed to self isolate for four months. Well who’s going to shop for food? It’s too late to register to order in line now.
