The rise and fall of slang over 900 years

I read an interesting article recently about the rise and fall of slang words throughout history.

There is even an interactive chart where you can see words in different areas that have come and gone over time.

The English language is ever-changing as new words are born out of popular culture and just as quickly die-out of common usage. This interactive timeline shows how just some of these words across popular categories such as food, communication and fashion, have evolved in and out of everyday use over the past 900 years.
