One of our pups (Tequila, a lurcher) has ears and eyes very reminiscent of Dobby the House-Elf; I seem to recall that the design for the look and behaviour of Toothless the Night Fury were actually based on someone’s cat… 🙂
Oh, and we have a cat named Adi, too… it’s the moustache!
