What I do in spring…

  1. Haul out my large Proenza Schouler PS1 in Purple Rain

2. Put my sunglasses and my lighter pashmina back into my bag (from autumn to late spring there is not enough sun to make it necessary to wear sunglasses).

3. Buy new gloves on sale. I always wait until spring to buy my gloves because they go on sale for 50-70% less from about Easter onwards. I tend to buy two pairs because if I lose gloves (and it does happen) I often luckily lose the opposite one from each pair so the leftovers form another pair. I like very tight and slim-fitting leather gloves lined with thinsulate so I can still do things with my gloves on. I hate pulling them off every time I need to take my travel card out of my pocket or do something on my phone. It makes it easier to lose them and it is also jolly cold!

  1. How do you like your PS1? I had one for a brief period of time but ended up selling it because the leather was so soft and mushy it made it difficult to get things in and out of and it drove me crazy.

    1. To be honest, I think the black ones are more my usual type of leather – sturdy and thicker, hardier leather. This leather is very much like the Balenciaga City and always feels a bit delicate for me, given how intensively I use my bags. And I don’t usually use flap top bags. But the colour makes the price and the faffing worthwhile. I just absolutely love the colour. I don’t use it every day but when I do use it, I love every minute of it. Plus it is so light compared to my Mulberry and Campomaggi bags!
