I have written about Standard Memorandum diaries by Word and Jon Continuo before. I love them but have never been quick enough to get one – maybe now is the year I shall finally do so!

I like them because they are small – can fit into a pocket, a small bag, a Midori Regular Size notebook (and probably a personal size TN as well) and even many Filofaxes. Being small there is just enough space for one a couple of lines about every day. Perhaps a motivational quote, the weather, a few thoughts. And when the year is finished you can put it in a box and start the next one.

Here you can see the difference in size between the Word notebooks and the Word memorandum

Read more here. I particularly like the ‘Retired’ page where you can see older designs. I wish other shops had this. I love browsing.

This year I am looking at the Word offerings from Bookbinders Online – both the slimmer Memorandum and the wider notebook. They have lovely items on their site including Midori 5 year diaries. As regular readers know, I like 5 year diaries! The header photograph is from their site, showing how the Standard Memorandum fits in the pocket of a Regular Size Midori (which they also sell!)

And the wider notebook which is also by Word. I love this cover!
